Susanne Lothar has been the patroness of the association "Rote Nasen Deutschland e.V." for a year now.

This association Rote Nasen Deutschland e.V. endeavours to brighten the hospital stays of the sick and suffering, alleviate their fear of operations, examinations and medical equipment, and ease their loneliness. With their light-hearted manner and improvisational talent, the clowns specially trained for this work bring laughter and joy into the hospitals. They inspire patients to be creative and imaginative, give them strength and boost their will to live, stimulate their sense of humour and offer them hope, and help to stimulate the vital physical processes that support the process of recovery.

Susanne Lothar accompanies the clown Paul Kustermann whenever he is invited to appear at children’s hospitals and old-people’s homes as guest clown. She is deeply moved by his work and wants to draw the public’s attention to the help and commitment provided by this remarkable organisation.
